More rains in Luzon as 'Maring', 'Lannie' leave - PAGASA
MANILA - Rains will continue to dampen large swaths of Luzon even as tropical cyclones "Maring" and "Lannie" move away from the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) Wednesday, state weather bureau PAGASA said.
At 10 a.m., Tropical Storm Maring was spotted 370 kilometers west of Iba, Zambales, while Typhoon Lannie was seen 605 kilometers northeast of Basco, Batanes.

"Parehong bagyo ay malapit nang lumabas sa boundary ng PAR," PAGASA meteorologist Nicos Peñaranda said in a press briefing.
All storm signals have been lifted, but Maring will still bring light to moderate rains in Palawan, Oriental Mindoro, Zambales, Bataan and Batangas, said Peñaranda.
The weather may start improving Thursday.
A cloud cluster east of the country, however, may develop into a low pressure area or brewing storm later this week, Peñaranda said.
Maring, which caused floods and landslides across Luzon, left at least 5 people dead and 7 others missing.
China's meteorological agency said the tropical storm, with international name Talim, could intensify into a super typhoon as it continues to churn towards Taiwan, and Zhejiang and Fujian provinces on the Chinese mainland.
